Veterans Program

GYSK9R Working Dogs 4 Vets is a program designed to match rescue dogs with Veterans suffering from PTSD, helping them adjust to civilian life. These emotional support animals offer unconditional love and help reduce anxiety, stress, and depression.

Dogs are selected from shelters based on temperament and trainability. After basic obedience training, they’re placed with Veterans who foster and bond with the dogs, learning to care for and train them. This fosters a sense of purpose, connection, and healing for the Veteran.

Once a strong match is confirmed, the Veteran adopts the dog at no cost. If needed, further training is provided so the dog can perform specific tasks as a service animal, allowing public access.

The program currently operates in the greater Phoenix, Arizona area.
